Arizona Main Street has recognized
and presented Main Street Communities throughout Arizona with awards
since 1992. The four awards categories relate to the Main Street
Four-Point approach, and there are twelve (12) awards for 2005.

Sedona Main Street Program is one
of the seventeen (17) Main Street Communities in Arizona under Lisa
Henderson’s (Arizona Department of Commerce, Arizona Main Street Program
Director) direction. Each community has the opportunity to submit
nominations. All nominations are evaluated and voted upon by a selected
panel of impartial judges.
Finalists are expected to be
announced by August 5, in anticipation of the Awards Ceremony during
Governor’s Rural Development Conference (August 17th through
19th in Oro Valley). Finalist will be recognized and
presented awards on Thursday August 18th. Winners will be
recognized and presented awards by Governor Napolitano during the
Governor’s Luncheon at the conference on Friday, August 19th.
Sedona Main Street Program has
been honored with finalists and winners of the Annual Arizona Main
